Deep in the wilderness we stop at a kota. Together we cook Finnish pancakes over an open fire and share stories and folklore about the Northern Lights — what they mean, why they dance, and how generations of Sámi and Finnish people have read them in the sky. You’ll hear why the aurora is never guaranteed, and why that’s exactly what makes every sighting feel like a gift.
No Northern Lights? No problem. A crackling fire, hot drinks, sweet pancakes and a still Arctic night are already an experience you won’t forget. But if the sky decides to perform, that’s the cherry on the cake.
