How to catch fish when they are hiding under a one-meter layer of ice? We will teach you the techniques as we take you ice fishing on a frozen Lake Ylläsjärvi. Our Safari House is located just by the lake and it is only a short walk to the lake to start drilling! Fishing is of course the main thing, but the surrounding landscapes also offer ideal settings for photographing and nature viewing. You can lay down on the reindeer skin, enjoy a hot drink and listen to our guide’s stories about how people in the village used to fish in the old days.
