About this experience

Welcome to the village of Ylläsjärvi and Johanna’s home! I want to invite you to explore the history and modern day life of this small northern village. My family has lived here for generations and I have many nice stories to share with you.
First we take a short walking tour around the oldest houses and yards of the village and then we visit my typical Finnish style wooden house where me and my family live. We’ll taste some typical Lappish nature products and learn how everyday life looks like here above the Arctic Circle.
